Barring a disaster, Remy Ma is set to be released from jail this July, meaning she’s about to enter what has become an incredibly entertaining female rap boxing ring, that has seen Nicki Minaj, Iggy Azalea, Azalea Banks, Nitty Scott MC, Rhapsody, and countless others rise to prominence in Ma’ absence. The leader of the pack? Nicki Minaj (its not even close, really), and Remy Ma expressed interest in collaborating with her when she was interviewed by Billboard last month.
Apparently, the feeling is mutual, as Nicki revealed to Hot 97 this week that she’d certainly be interesting in working with Remy Ma upon her release.
“That would make me very happy; that would be very exciting. As soon as she gets out, Rem, holler at me.”
We know what Remy Ma’s capable of. With her scene stealing verse on Terror Squad‘s hit single “Lean Back”, and her highly successful solo singles, “Wuteva” and “Conceited”, there’s no questioning Remy’s potency. The only question is, can she re-capture that after 6 years of inactivity? We’ll know this summer. She’s already admitted to plotting on working with Meek Mill, YG, Rick Ross and French Montana.
